A Partial List of Characters

Mateo Lima: Of Costa Rican origin, Mateo is spiritually enlightened, creative and sincere - and a devoted father to "Violet". He did his utmost to raise his only child to be independent, open-minded and courageous. When they find themselves facing their ultimate challenge, he prays that she can call upon all those lessons in an effort to stay alive.

Belinda Garcia Lima: The raven-haired beauty married Mateo in their homeland. They later moved to Miami, where "Violet" was born. Her long dalliance with narcotics and alcohol takes a toll on their marriage. A talented singer/musician, her personal demons often mask her true character. She struggles to fulfill her roles as wife and mother, just as she struggles to overcome her addictions.

Veronica “Violet” Lima: A highly-evolved teenager discovers the breadth of her psychic abilities as she searches her soul to understand her ultimate destiny. Her loving father’s primary confidant, Violet has been developing her innate talents in recent years. Her fascination with animals and Marine Biology leads her to the San Diego Zoo on the wrong day, at the wrong time...

Kyle Nordstrom: The handsome, intellectual Child Psychologist and founder of The Kemper Foundation for Gifted Children (in Pittsburgh, PA), Kyle is dedicated to aiding the development of the newest generation of humankind. His organization is growing and earning support from around the World, and he is unwavering in his commitment to his "Quantum Qids".

Mia Nordstrom: Lovely, blonde-haired Mia is cool on the surface, yet empathetic by nature. Her brother, Kyle, had been visiting San Diego on business when fate changes the course of their lives forever. She’s single, having recently split from her longtime boyfriend. A freelance writer, she has a penchant for animals, especially wolves. People often comment on her unusual aquamarine eyes.

Aaron Kemper: Kemper is a supremely arrogant and obnoxious man. The product of a super-privileged upbringing, the heir-apparent to real estate firm Kemper Worldwide Development is accustomed to getting his way. When a series of natural disasters occurs, he learns he can no longer simply buy his way out of his problems.

Rebecca "Sinnamon" Sinclair: The quintessential free spirit, redheaded “Sinnamon” pushes the boundaries by living in the moment at all times. She utilizes her diverse talents to secure work as a freelance photographer and rock musician/performer. An opportunistic cynic, she's impatient with weak-minded or timid people. Athletic and attractive, her trademarks are her flowing, red hair and her many tattoos and piercings.

Jason Connor-Sable: The approachable and kindhearted fine arts professor specializes in sculpture and painting. A San Diego native, he recently moved back to the area after completing his studies at Rhode Island School of Design. Calamitous events lead to the unexpected emergence of an ability he didn't realize he possessed.

Dante Macchiaroli: His friends call him “D-Mac”. The normally good natured zoo security guard hails from Philadelphia, PA. Generally tough-minded, he felt he found his niche when he joined the San Diego Zoo’s staff. When all Hell breaks loose one fateful day, Dante’s faith is challenged and he struggles to cope with a world suddenly turned upside-down.

Hanna & Leanna Armstrong: The teenage sisters are often mistaken for identical twins, although they are actually nearly a year apart in age. Leanna is the more outgoing of the two. They are gifted psychics who possess a special talent for healing. Having been ostracized at school and isolated because of their “differences”, they turned their focus inward and seem to almost occupy a single mind. They find themselves separated from their grandfather when a catastrophic chain of events occurs.

Dwayne, Victory, and DeAngelo Cooper: Residents of Los Angeles, they are vacationing in San Diego on the fateful day. Dwayne was on the verge of being drafted by the NBA, and now is co-owner of a successful automobile dealership. Victory, who never goes far without her Bible, was born in Jamaica. DeAngelo is a typical 10-year old who loves playing Little League baseball and soccer. He enjoys hearing stories about Dad’s glory days, playing NCAA basketball.

“Ravikiran”: Young (8-year-old) “Ravi” is stranded and alone in the Zoo, separated from his group when a brutal electrical storm hits. Full-cheeked Ravi is bright, clever and full of life. He’s a fan of the San Diego Padres and loves to visit the wild animals in the Zoo.
